Treeline-bikeThere is good reason why pro-cycling teams camp out in this region, the landscape provides a Mecca for cyclists. Cycling in Italy is one of the most popular sports and the roads are populated with cyclists all year round.  Anzio offers all terrains for cycling whether it is long flat rides along the coast, challenging hill climbs or quieter areas for time trials.

For the more experienced triathlete, 80-180km cycles can start with a flat warm-up through the Italian countryside leading to the more challenging hills of Rome. Mid-cycle refuelling stops tend to be in Castel Gandolfo, where the Pope likes to reside during the summer months. For the shorter distances, we can end our cycles here and enjoy a post training meal on the beautiful volcanic Lake Albano.

Untitled-6For those new to triathlon or training for a short distance event, we can build your confidence, strength and speed on flatter rides along the Italian coast. Coastal beach rides are a great way to set interval training goals and build strength and speed. Mid-cycle refuelling stops tend to be in Circeo, a beautiful National Reserve and for those who would like to take on a hill challenge, Mount San Felice is a great hill to climb with incredible panoramic views at the top.

A standard week includes a minimum of three rides, an endurance ride, a shorter hillier ride and a time trial.  All rides are supported and guided, and distances are dependent upon objectives and ability levels.
